It all begins with education. Teaching is a passion of mine because of the profound impact it has and fulfillment it brings. I recognize that each student is unique and adapt my teaching methods to suit their individual learning styles, pace, and goals.
I believe confidence stems from success and a sense of accomplishment. To support this, I emphasize the development of technical proficiency while nurturing musical expression.
Beyond musical growth, I aim to foster personal development—encouraging perseverance, patience, and self-expression throughout the learning process.

The After-School Strings provides instruction in violin, viola, and cello to students in kindergarten through fourth grade in the Portland area. We plan to add a new grade level to the program each year, eventually offering instruction to students in grades K-12. Students receive weekly private lessons, group classes, and an instrument to practice at home year-round. The program operates for 25 weeks and follows the academic calendar (October – May).
